The sound & light show was introduced by the Department of Tourism of the state of Rajastha. The show offers visitors an insight into the history of Chittorgarh. The show starts with the story of the King Chitrangada, from the 6th century, who found Chittaur in his search for a land safe from invasions.
The show then takes you to the brave Bappa Rawal, who fought the Arab invaders and defended Chittaur, and brought Mewar on the Indian political map. The sound & light show also throws some light on the life of Rani Padmini- the beautiful queen with a sense of pride, Rana Kumba, Meera- the princess who was an ardent the devotee of Lord Krishna, and the sacrifice of Panna Dhai to save the young Udai Singh from a treacherous plan. The entire light and show with special effects and folk music makes the entire event entertaining and eye-popping.
